That's snow on the mountains behind us. All in it was 123 miles with close to 12,000 feet of elevation gain. I won't lie, it hurt. Mike kept saying it would build character. Well my cup runneth over with character after that ride.

Lake Henshaw Ride
Had a big ride with Mike the Bike this weekend. We did the Lake Henshaw Route from Solana Beach, and then threw in Mesa Grande and Cole Grade road for good measure. Here's a picture of me trying to hang with Mike climbing Mesa Grande while he is taking photos on his iPhone... demoralizing at best.
